Kyōtō Kiyomizu-dera
We start the day well with a delicious NATTO (traditional Japanese food made from fermented soybeans)! (No tasting video sorry… it’s really strange).
Then we set off to visit the temples including the famous Kiyomizu-dera which offers a panoramic view of the ancient capital of Japan, Kyoto.
The continuation of the visit of Kiyomizu-dera then discovery of the Japanese “Stores”, the fruits seem “Perfect”.
Kyōtō Nijo-jo
Discovery of Nijo-jo Castle in Kyoto, domain of the Shoguns for more than 2 centuries! Magnificent and exotic place.
Well, no choice, you’ll have to take the Metro! And I highly recommend getting the ICOCA Card on site which allows you to pay for the metro throughout the country, and especially in several drinks machines!
If you have an iPhone it’s even simpler, the card is created via the “Cards” App !
Kyōtō Kinkaku-ji
And now, the Golden Pavilion, the MAGNIFICENT Kinkaku-ji ! Then we continue by visiting the Gion District, this time during the day, and still no Geiko / Geisha 🙁
All under a blazing sun and 36 degrees in the shade and tropical humidity, pocket fan required.
And we also see magnificent water lilies.
Kyōtō – Metro

Kyōtō – Rooftop In The Moon
The day is long but we continue, have a drink at the top of the Rooftop In The Moon in Kyoto! Great view of the Kyoto Tower and good atmosphere.
Kyōtō – Fushimi Inari Taisha
The day (or rather the night) continues, no sleep to be able to visit the Shrine with 10,000 Torii of Kyoto: “Fushimi Inari Taisha”.
Very very few people at night, it’s much more pleasant than during the day. Wake up in 5 hours (and not yet arrived at the hotel…), but it’s worth it!
