1. Direction Italy
New Travel Weekend, departure from France to Milan in Italy via Switzerland. “Icy” stop in Switzerland at the motorway station near the Gotthard Tunnel with magnificent views of the snow-capped mountains before making another stop near Como in Italy with for me a Doppio Espresso and a “Brioche al pistacchio” (pistachio cream croissant).
2. Sesto San Giovanni
Arrival at the Hotel “Grand Hotel Barone di Sassj” then direction Milan by Metro, stop at Moscova then direction Porta Volta.
3. Chinatown (Milan)
We are in China Town in Milan and we are tasting delicious (and cheap) ravioli at “Ravioleria Sarpi”.
4. Bullona
We’re going to have lunch at Trattoria al Toscanaccio in Milan. I’m having two dishes, Griata mista di pesce (mix of grilled fish) and Fritto misto (fried fish). Really delicious!
We continue our visit to the Bullona district and a local market with fruits, vegetables and specialties from Abruzzo: Porchetta.
5. Stadio San Siro
And here we go for the AC Milan – Juventus match
6. San Siro by Night
The San Siro Stadium at night and the famous Towers built for the 1990 Football World Cup.
7. Duomo
After the Milan – Juve match (0-0), head to the Duomo on Tram 16 from the Stadium (completely full 🤣).
8. Sesto San Giovanni
Back in Sesto San Giovanni after the Milan-Juve match and the night visit of the Duomo District. We go to the Bella Napoli Restaurant (reservation strongly recommended) and it’s really not bad at all! For me “Piovra arrostita” (roasted octopus tentacles, cima di rapa/broccoli rabe and burrata), accompanied by a craft beer produced in the same city (“Birra Mutnik”). Then, back to the Barone Hotel.
9. Then…Lamante Cocktail Bar (Sesto San Giovanni) we have a Shot Tempest with the Tifosis Supporters Club of AC Milan.
