This time, we visit the lively “Chinatown” of Milan, I discovered an astonishing mix of cultures and many Asian products in the comments of the area:
Pokemon soda cans in flamboyant colors illustrated with Pikachu and Gengar.
A collection of Asian statues highlighted in front of a large bay window, katanas…
Chicken feet with spicy lemon and spicy duck claws.
Tea drinks with illustrations of camels and cranes.
An all-you-can-eat barbecue restaurant “All you can eat”.
Then we head back to the Station, and stumble upon an Art Expo with a painting by Leonardo di Caprio, “Bosco verticale” vegetal tower and a huge building with the Microsoft Logo.
Chinatown in Milan, mainly concentrated around Via Paolo Sarpi, is one of the oldest Chinatowns in Europe, formed from the 1920s by a first wave of Chinese immigrants, mainly traders and artisans. This district has since become an important cultural and economic hub, offering a wide choice of specialty shops, traditional cafes, Asian supermarkets and traditional Chinese restaurants.
