A lovely walk in the Franco-German Park in Saarbrücken. With blooming gardens, a lake, and shaded paths, it’s the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy nature. Naturally, we couldn’t pass up on trying a currywurst, adding a delicious local flavor to our outing !
Currywurst is an iconic German street food dish, very popular in Berlin. Born before the Second World War, it is simply a grilled pork sausage, sliced and covered with a “secret” sauce (tomato + curry), served with bread and/or fries. The original recipe was created by Berliner Herta Heuwer.
