🇩🇪 Sarrebruck – French-German Park

A lovely walk in the Franco-German Park in Saarbrücken. With blooming gardens, a lake, and shaded paths, it’s the perfect spot to relax and enjoy nature.

The Franco-German Park of Saarbrücken is located on the border between Moselle (France) and Saarland (Germany), it is a jewel of greenery and one of the many symbols of friendship between the two nations. The park covers about 50 hectares and was developed in the 1960s. It is perfect for relaxing and recharging your batteries, walks, picnics, family activities, pedal boat rides, electric train rides… There was even a small cable car to have a view from above the park but it seems to be closed now. There are also restaurants serving typical German specialties including the famous schnitzel, and draft beers of course. The park is easily accessible from Forbach, Saarbrücken and Spicheren.
