Tonight, dinner in a typical Japanese Restaurant (an Izakaya) in Saarbrücken (Germany), at Hashimoto, next to the “Alt Stadt” (Old Town).
It is the Japanese equivalent of “Brasseries” in our country. Everything was delicious and plentiful.
Here are the dishes I had:
– Takoyaki: Typical Osaka dish, balls filled with octopus topped with sweet and sour sauce and mayonnaise.
– Ramen Tonkotsu: Bowl with Japanese noodles and creamy broth, a slice of tender pork, bamboo, green onions and marinated ginger and a sheet of seaweed (Nori).
– Gyoza: Grilled Japanese ravioli stuffed with a tasty mix of meat and vegetables.
– Natto: Fermented soybeans, rather “sticky”, it’s very particular but very good!
– Tuna Nigiri (Sushi).
– Japanese Curry: Thick and creamy sauce with very tender beef and white rice.
– Katsudon: Breaded pork cutlet
