๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ Stiring-Wendel : 80th Anniversary of the Liberation

This afternoon, Stiring-Wendel celebrates the 80th anniversary of its Liberation.
The ceremony begins with the playing of the French national anthem and the raising of the flag in front of the town hall, in memory of those who fought for freedom.
Then, a parade of vintage military vehicles takes place through the streets of the town center.

Visit of the temporary exhibition (March 14-16, 2025) dedicated to the Liberation of Stiring-Wendel 80 years ago, in the Wendel Hall.
Immersion in the history of the Second World War through historical French, Allied, and Nazi propaganda posters, uniforms, flags, military equipment, and reconstructed scenes.

 

The final part of the tour includes American tanks from the Second World War, as well as other period vehicles.
