A day in Neuf-Brisach that begins at the Vauban campsite, with a comfortable bungalow where everything is designed to relax. We settle down on the wooden terrace for a peaceful moment, before enjoying an outdoor lunch: a delicious flammekueche accompanied by a fresh salad. In the afternoon, head to the port to admire the boats and watch the ducklings huddled together at the water’s edge. A simple but charming getaway.
We then crossed the border (the bridge between Neuf-Brisach and Breisach am Rhein) and explored the charming German village on the banks of the Rhine.
From picturesque alleys to magnificent views from the top of the hill, Breisach offered us a change of scenery.
Then, we headed to the Rhine hydroelectric dam on the French side, a fascinating place where nature and engineering meet.
We visited Neuf-Brisach, a unique fortified city. Between its imposing ramparts designed by Vauban, an atmosphere steeped in history, and nods to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, every corner of this city is a discovery. A stroll full of surprises, meeting architecture and nature.
