๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ท Bray-Dunes

Today, great morning on the beach of Bray-Dunes, we feel a bit like we are at the end of the world.
The landscape is magnificent, the beach is constantly changing, each gust of wind “draws” ephemeral banks of water, nothing remains fixed.
It is the perfect place for water sports as well as for horse riding, many riders are present and walk on horseback along the beach, their paws in the water.
We also see many traces of bird feet and shells.

How lucky this afternoon, a seal comes to rest on the beach of Bray-Dunes this Thursday at the beginning of the day.
He stayed for a while before heading back to the sea.
It is quite rare, but I had already seen one last year in the same place, it may be the same one…
We also see an athlete doing “Surf foil”.

โš  Be careful, never approach a seal on the beach, these photos were taken from a distance with a Zoom.

At the end of the afternoon, I take the opportunity to visit “Notre-Dame des Dunes”, an essential church of the heritage of Bray-Dunes built at the end of the 19th century.
I also take the opportunity to visit the “Brasserie des Dunes de Flandre” which produces and brews on site “Diabinte” craft beers as well as local products: Chef’s Terrine, Poultry Terrine, Rabbit Pรขtรฉ, Pasta, Potjevleesch, Flemish Carbonnade, Dry Sausage, Petit Fromage de Bergues…
I let myself be tempted by a few products including the famous Potjevleesch, a typical dish from the North of France and Flanders, it is a pot of white meats (chicken, rabbit, pork) cooked in an aromatic broth and taken in a slightly vinegary jelly. Served cold, this dish is often accompanied by fries and a salad.
The fries from the North of France owe their delicious taste in part to the double cooking and the use of beef white (beef fat).
It’s really delicious!
The Brasserie has also created a โ€œBeesโ€ space to participate in the preservation of biodiversity.
